Tell us a little about your cav days.
I was sent as a radio repairman which I did every day. As the 2 official translators were not always available, I filled in. I translated for the Manoever damage control team. I also worked with the German army and became friends with some of their officers. (Former Wehrmacht!) Made lasting friendship with one family and have been visited by them and have visited them often
Tell us a little about you now.
When I left the Army, I went to work for Martin on the Pershing project. After 6 years we experienced a massive layoff . By the time my number came up all the good jobs had been taken and at least 1000 were completely unemployed. I received a Call to enter the Lutheran ministry, completed my pre- seminary requirements and went to the Sem for 4 years. Than had 6 different congregations including Berlin. I am now 86 and still preaching on Wednesdays.
