Welcome to Dragoon Base, Mark

The Dragoonbase.com has plenty of updated features
(HTML and format friendly), lots of sub-groups like the
Officers Club, F-Troop, Amberg, Medics, and the
always busy Oldtimers club to name a few.
Also links for 2nd Cavalry Assn. News and History Centers.

The late Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating
the site (i.e. photos, links, etc.) in the Forum section.

Please feel free to stop by and read the latest in
“Tacoma Dave's Trivia Quiz”. You can learn some 2nd Cav
history and you could even win a cool prize.

If you need any help, you may contact any of the admins

may be able to help you.

Where were you stationed?

Bindlach Germany

What MOS or job description did you have?

311 but spent most of the time in S2 as a Clerk

What was your rank/title?

Spec 5

What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?

1962-1964

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Started as tank loader in C Troop in Feb 1962, then became S2 Clerk for the next 2 years. Was Gerald M Werners clerk when he killed his girlfried. After promotion to Spec 5, I returned to C Troop to finish my enlistment.

Tell us a little about you now.

Came home and went to college at the Univ of Washington. Got BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering. Just retired in 2014 as CEO of an electrical utility group.
