I was trying to remember who took Zenkers place and you just brought it to mind. I remember Krebs very well, I didn't get along with him well at all. He had a bad habit of trying to provoke soldiers into doing stupid things. I remember one of my young soldiers was going to the board and Krebs didn't like him at all so he deleberatily knocked him down in the mess hall the morning of the board. Now I have a question for you Joe, who was the acting first between Zenker and Krebs. I remember we went for sometime without an actual first but I can't remember who was acting first. Was it Smith or the commo guy from hgs platoon?

hey ricky boy. any luck in finding old members.

PS. Do you remeber 1sgt. Krebs. What a genuine jerk. I really missed Zenker and Krebs was not a soldiers soldier. A rat in a uniform with a nervous twitch!

      Hi Richard,

Sorry I did not get back sooner. Usually I get an E-mail when some one comments. I did not this time. I remember we spent some Saturday afternoons on that hillside and it was a great view and we had plenty of liquor and god knows what else. I think I fell in the fire once too. Did not get hurt to bad though. I kinda remember Mike being hurt and I think it even got infected. That guy was one tough umbre and frigging strong. His wrists were the size of most guys forearms. I know as his Tank Commander him and I locked horns a few time ,but, I think he respected me because I never asked my troops to do anything I was not willing or able to do. If you find Mike let me know.
