      Happy birthday Ryan

Ryan - Just wondering if you noticed my comments of the last couple of days of picking up a belt and buckle marked on the back with 1899 and Troop I, and then Dave Gettman's feed to me about I Troop in Cuba.  Part of the exchanged comments were my "dream" of having a reconstruction of  the 1963 I-6 M-151 and what it would have on it - to include Bundeswehr paint.  Dave thought you might find the "dream" details of interest, so thought I'd take this easy way of alerting you and maybe you could go to those comments, versus me retyping it or trying to figure out how to shift those comments to you.  Please let me know if you found them or whether I need to do a retype.  Thanks.

Happy birthday Ryan, I hope all is well on your side of the big pond. Enjoy the day and eat and drink well.

Ryan -  I think I have answered my earlier question re possible Museum interest in Constabulary Second Brigade china.  Wayne Dixon saw my comment and wrote that the Constabulary Assoc. might be interested.  I looked at their site  re Constabulary unit lineage; that caused me to drag out my Armor lineage book.  At this point, I don't see a connection between the Second Brigade and the 2d Cavalry -  Correct?

Ryan -  Am starting to think about the future of some of the items I have and wonder if the Museum might be interested in Constabulary china. Some years back picked up a gravy boat, coffee pot w/lid, tea pot w/lid, and two deep dishes.  Made in Weiden, white w/ blue & yellow trim; each piece marked "Second Brigade" w/the Constabulary insignia between the two words. I think my wife and I were the only two people at the auction who knew what they were and/or had an interest in them. Also, on things like this, will the Museum also  accept them on a "permanent loan" basis?  My understanding of "permanent loan" is that the item remains Museum property unless/until the Museum ceases to be.

      Thanks,

      Nelson
