Tell us a little about your cav days.
When I finally got to Merrell Barracks, got off the truck and greeted by Top Seargent Cliff David, he asked if any of us knew how to type. Being a radio-teletype operator and having taken Typing class in high school, I raised my hand. "You wanna be Company Clerk?, the Sergeant growled. "S-S-S-Sure", I stammered. And I enjoyed every minute of my duty there. If only I knew then what I know now. Got to see Paris and London and lots of European countryside. Buddy Jim Owens and roommate had a car he kept off base and we got around a bit. Great guy. He made money lending money. Don't know how he collected his debts, he was only 5'7" or 8" and probably 150 lbs but the borrowers paid him back on payday.

Retired, living the dream in Florida right now. Worked as Traffic Manager, Warehouse Manager and finally Purchasing Director across 3 companies and as a Realtor for 20 years after moving to Florida. Loved doing that Realtor thing.
