  • Believe it or not, I just came back onto the site and re-read the comments. David, you are missed for sure! I believe the time I spent in Germany were the best years of my life outside of finding my soulmate here min the Chicago area. Best group of guys I ever had the pleasure to work with.
  • Hey Scott,

I put a photo on my page. Oost, Landreth, Me, Suther. 1987 at Reed. By the TAC Sign that's K42. Unfortunatly I don't have many photos of those days.

I do remember one of the first things I did as Platoon Sgt was to pull you out of formation to show the rest of the platoon as an example of uniform and haircut standards. After humiliating you in front of the platoon I gave you the rest of the day off, and those days were very hard to come by! I remember their faces going from, "You Kiss Ass" to "Shit!! He got the day off!" Hahaha! Next day every uniform looked good! I hope I didn't embarras you too much but I still laugh at that situation today.
  • I'm doing well. I stayed in the Army and after Amberg I went to Ft. Hood Texas for 5 years and then back to Germany in 1993, this time to Vilseck. I retired in 1997 then divorced (not my idea) and got a Job at the Close Combat Tactical Trainer on Graf as a contractor and I've been doing that ever since. I remarried and as they were closing down CCTT at Graf. I was offered a Job at Ft. Bliss, Texas at El Paso and I took it. I left Germany in 2005. I operate Tank and Bradley simulators so I never realy stopped working with soldiers or training them and I get to keep up with all the latest gadgets and things.
  • Scott, I ran across this site and joined just to say hello to you. How's life treating you? You might remember me cause I was your old PSG and TC. Landreth was our gunner when he lost his finger. I did see him again as a SSG at Graf sometime after I retired about 99 or 2000. I even ran into your old car wreck buddy Woods(I think that was his name) at Ft. Knox when I went to ANCOC He was a civilian of course but still married. Those were wild times!
