Tom; Glad you made it back from Nam. I left Amberg, K Troop, in March 1969 after spending 1 year there. I don't believe our paths crossed during that time.  Hope you are well and happy. Take care of yourself.

      Hi Tom

Sorry for taking so long getting back to you.  When I left M-Company '68 for Korea my replacement was my clerk James Maxxi and when I returned the SGM had me going to L-Troop because they didn't have a Supply Sgt. at the time and after going back to M-Co. and saw what they had done with the Suppl Room and moved it I really didn't care to go back there. How are you doing these days ? Do you also remember my Armor Sgt Uhlig ?

      Toujours Pret Tom,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos, links, ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures(pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do.), and that you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

      Thanks Again for joining,
      Jesse Kelley

Tell us a little about your cav days.

LOVED Amberg, LOVED the M60A1, wish I was driving my APC down the highways and byways! Remember fondly guys like Danny Smith, our first Sgt Church, Joe Towle and Jim Hart and my Hawaiian roommate Eddie Laroya. Also, the crazy cook, Nick Bianco, James Starley from Georgia and our dry-humored troop clerk Fusilier from Lake Charles, LA. Sure wish I could remember the name of our Armor, one heck of a nice guy.

Tell us a little about you now.

Levied to Vietnam from Amberg in December of '69. Made it through that 'little adventure' in spite of serving with an Americal Division Infantry unit located just south of Da Nang. Retired from 3M Company after 35 years and now I enjoy travel / adventures, fondly recalling those fun nights at the Las Vegas Club in downtown Amberg. Let us not forget those wonderful trips to those exotic field locations of Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels.

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

    covered above.
