Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
Make sure you stop by and read the latest Tacoma Dave ‘Triva Quiz’, learn some 2nd Cav history and you can even win a kool prize.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or any of the 5 admins listed at the top of the page, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures(pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do).

I have just spent a good hour going through the site and have found several people I know. All I can say is WOW! I still carry a Keller Tanz Bar Clubkarte (Bayreuth) in my wallet. Best time I had in my life.

7 yrs with 1st sqdn. 2 yrs in Germany from 83 to 85 and 5 yrs at Ft Polk with 1st sqdn from 94 to 99.

Where were you stationed?

Bindlach, FRG and Ft Polk LA

What MOS or job description did you have?

19D Cav Scout

What was your rank/title?

Bindlach: SPC and SGT Ft Polk: SSG Platoon Sergeant

What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?

1983-1985 1994-1999

Tell us a little about your cav days.

I was in Bull (You gotta have balls) Troop at Bindlach. Met my wife while stationed there. (25 years later we are still married) Platoon Sergeant at FT Polk, 2 ACR (L). Spent 6 great months in beautiful Port au Prince, Haiti while stationed there. Finished my last 2 years as a Drill Instructor at Ft Knox, KY. "The pupil has become the Master." Teaching new Cav Scouts.

Tell us a little about you now.

Still work at JRTC, Ft Polk after retiring, as a TAFF Lead in TF2 still teaching and mentoring (in an indirect sort of way) by putting together After Action Reviews at the Battalion/Squadron level for units deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan.
