first time looking over the site. i spent feb 79-83- bayreuth; the rock- christinson barricks. shift work sq opns s2- switchboard/commo/ceoi/ sounded alerts. did tours at camp gates- spent much time at heinze place. when i see a flag i remember hoisting and lowering it at the camp. the photos from 1982 were quite interisting. i reported to capt porchia. the photo with the man in civies- seargent major tabor -(positive name, rank not positive he was a great mentor to me as was msg sgt renshaw- (rank and name spelling not positive, but close. sgt wester used to pick me up for duty when i lived wasserknoden, when i had my civilian driver license taken away by squadren commander- dwi from bayreuth beer fest, stopped by politizi. i have many fond memories from those years and people i met both americans and germans. i wanted to stay after my tour- but did not. who ever posted the photos thank you. i have photos and will attempt to post them. forgive spellings. toujours pret. peter.
