Hello Tom, after thinging about it for a while, the guy that i remember with the Red hair in HQ troop was Tom Saunders from somewhere in Kentucky, sorry about that !
Hi Tom,Yes how could I forget SFC Murphy, I was on the Border with him a few times, often wonder what ever happen to him...You did'nt by chance have red hair did you, I can remember faces but sometimes not the names, I do remember a Tom(can't remember the last name, and was from Kentucky) anyhow it's nice talking to you, don't be a stranger, Mike
Welcome to the site Tom, I was in the S-2 section, 1968-1972 HQ Troop, you may remember some of my roommates there at that time...Phil Hart ,Geoff Tacker,Bob Schafer, Bob wyebrought Maybe you remember SFC George Wheaton, SGM Fulgrum..the spelling may not be correct on some of the names.. anyhow I'm sure you'll enjoy the site as much as the rest of us, take care, Mike
Welcome to the sight Tom. I was also in A troop from Aug 71 to Mar 72, so we probably worked together or even spoke, but to save my life I can't remember names very well. You have any pictures? Post them please.
I worked closely with Harry Harriman from New Jersey. We operated or thought we operated the radar machine until some major came to inspect the OP outside of Wieden and he really got on our case. We were not trained on the machine so we just turned it on and heard the noices of traffic on the other side of the border. Do you remember Daniel Counter, he played the guitar and liked to sing.
O.k. friend, welcome and we hope you can find some of you buddies. From Baja in Mexico, Ray g.
