Tell us a little about your cav days.
Enlisted right after turning 17. Wanted to go Ranger but recruiter says you don't want that! Go instead to beautiful Germany driving the biggest car (M60) on the road. And don't forget fraulein and Bier! What can I say to that but but " always ready" Seem to remember a lot of Mud, Pom Frits, Siren going off 3 in morning when the Hawk was at its worse, starting tanks up every 4 hours during cold nights, guarding the ammo dump, quarters for the beer machine, words like: "on the way", later, and knocking an Amberg street lamp down with main gun while traversing turret around, XO said I would have to pay for that 1,800 marks pls!

Retired NJ public high school Science teacher. 2 kids older now and flown the nest. Enjoying my four grand daughters, Andria 8 yr, Allie 5 yr., Clara 2, Grace 1 yr. Live in NJ , winter in Stuart, FL. Married 44 yrs. Enjoy fishing, travel, great outdoors, reading historical non fiction, documentaries, NY Giant football, Deacon and Sunday School teacher in 1st Presbyterian Church. Favorite film- Forest, Forest Gummp! Favorite poem: "Rock me to Sleep" by Elizabeth Akers Allen.
