Hi Captain, my name is Dan Kramlich and I servered under you in D Company July 1969 to January 1971. I was a "gunner" in D-32. An other soldier and I were seperated from our group one day while in Nurenburg. We just happened to run into you and your wife and you gave us a ride back to the rock, thank you 40 years later. Nice car I think it was a GTO. Feel free to keep in touch and good luck with the VA.

      Dennis,

Good to see you here! It's been a long time since those day in the 70's on the Rock. Sure was fun while we were there tho.

      All the best.

      Bill Barry

Hooah Capt Nading, I was also in B Troop Under Capt Barry while you were there. We almost "met" - I got to observe you give an ass chewing!! Until then, I did not know that the M60A4 was the two legged version! Someone said that you once rode Harleys - never had the nerve to ask back then. Glad to see you made it here, I think it was Chief Isbell that said he saw you a few years back. Dan Currie

Welcome back to the Cav, sir. I don't remember you, but I recall your last name. I was a scout in B Troop under Bill Barry ( he is here too). Your are right, during my 2 1/2 years on the Rock, D Co. never went to the border. As I recall, the powers that be thought that the M60's would be too big and clumsy for that mission. As far as the VA goes Dennis, keep putting the spurs to 'em. Mike

      Welcome Dennis,
You will find several members here with similar physical conditions, but we're all of the same mindset: trying to connect and reconnect with those who we served with, and meet those we didn't. You may want to contact Wayne Dixon who is in a very similar situation as you. Take a look at our Odltimer's group.

      Toujours Pret Dennis,

      Welcome home Troop.
The DragoonBase here at Ning.com, has
      plenty of updated features
(similar to MySpace), lots of sub-groups,
      (Officers Club,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc),
and links for “2nd Cavalry Assn.”
      News and History Centers.

Robb Russell has posted some tips for
      navigating the site(ie,photos,links,ect)
      in the Forum.

Please feel free to stop by and read the
      latest “Tacoma Dave's ‘Triva Quiz’”,
you can learn some 2nd Cav history,
and you could even, win a kool prize.

If you need any help, you may contact
Robb Russell, or any of the 5 admins listed
at the top of the page, or just yell out,
another member may be able to help you.

And our only wish is to,
      ‘Keep it clean’.
Use your real name and picture,
(pix from back in the day, work best
      for searching for Brothers),
      but any picture will do.

And that you please tell all your friends
about, where to find the DragoonBase.

Thanks again for joining Dragoon Base,
and for your Service and Dedication,
      to Our Great Country.

I was the lucky Co that didn't pull border duty plus I staqyed in command of D Co for over 2 yrs befor the dreaded staff job working for a Major that I would still like to put down range as a moving target on range 16. If I recall I had 3 trips to Graff and 2 or 3 to Hoenfels(?). Never could spell. Had 2 best friends Cpt Ralph "Spiderman" Barber and Cpt LeRoy Robinson. I loved everyday.

I am a retired CA state worker. I am disabled and perm in a wheel chair due to wounds in RVN. My wife, of 40 yrs, Jane Anne, that was in Germany with me died 3 years ago, leaving me to wander the streets looking for a new mate but can't remember what to do if I find her. I stay in touch with a couple guys but have lost most. Pass y days fighting with VA, it's fun even if they are't VA or the guys their chasing now.
