  I too,  joined, Dennis - really did not have any other possibilities after I had to drop out of high school. Chose the Army cause my mother was in the Army Nurse Corps. Asked for Hawaii - got Germany, Amberg, 3/2 ACR '69-'72. Got my GED, Got Out Honorably, finally made it to college, just retired jan 31, 2012.

  Welcome to Dragoon Base, like me you may find some old buddies in here, and make new ones. Your succinct description of your job in Bindlac is interesting, were you Drafted? Most of my friends were either drafted or joined up to avoid the draft and the interesting travel plans they were sure would result.
