      Hi Tom, I do remember your name and you brought up a few names I have not heard in years! I have not heard from those guys, I have kept in loose contact with Doug White who was also a medic. I think the Mike you are referring to is Mike Sheldon from Louisiana. He was always in some sort of jam or another but a real nice guy. Just not ready for the Army yet. I have some pictures of Bamberg and Hof posted on my blog traveltrooper.blogspot.com Have a bunch of other stuff posted but if you pick through you'll see my recent Bamberg. Hope you are doing well, we are all a bit older and starting to have some parts break down. Chris

      plenty of updated features
      (HTML and format friendly), lots of sub-groups,

      always busy Oldtimers club).

      News and History Centers.

      in the Forum.

    What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?

    1978-1980


    Tell us a little about your cav days.

    Assigned to work the CAV CIF in April of 78. Took awhile to make-up shortages left before me, and build up stock enough to support the troops, but eventually got there. After 14 months, took over as Property Book NCO till I left in Dec 80.


    Tell us a little about you now.

    I retired as an E7 in 1988 from HHC, LEC, 101st Airborne Division. Property Manager of Dekalb County Telephone Co-operative in Tn. 3 months before I retired. Drove a Big rig cross country for 10 years starting at 50 yrs of age. Lost wife to Leukemia in 98. Watching the grass grow since 04.
