Hey, George. Glad I found you. This is Steve Oliver. I was Adjutant when you arrived on post. I remember that you stepped in as duty officer for me so I could take a 3 day pass to travel to Amsterdam with several other friends. Thanks for doing that. Are you in contact with any others from 1/2 ACR serving at the same time?
I hope all is well with you. Happy New Year.
I'm the old fashion type preacher. I preach and teach for a small congregation here in Mexicali, Baja Califonia. Its across the border from Calexico, California. Been here for about 25 years. I do all of my teaching from the Bible. We are a none-denominational group, we try to lead our lives by the book. We have managed to stay away from any organized religion or church. Just living the life that Christ teaches.
How about you, what are you doing these days. Do you remember when that picture was taken? I remember Sgt. Milligan well cause we used to visit alot and talk. He would get a little too juiced up and then do something to get busted down to private again, but he was a good friend to me. Do you have anymore pictures? I sent a bunch home but some got lost after our divorce and others when I moved south. Have you visited my page. You might recognize some of the troops.
Be waiting to hear from you again. From Baja, Ray g.
Hello George, my name is Raymond Gonzalez. I live in Mexio. I was in A troop from Aug.1971 thur Mar.1972. My memory is a little fuzzy on some things at the rock, but I do have some pictures on my page. In one of your pictures, where they are tugging on the rope, there is a man in the back. It that Sgt. Milligan? Do you have more pictures. We would love to see them. Also, a pvt by the name of Wolfe was killed in a auto accident, I believe on their way to the OP outside of Wieden. A luetenant was injured, was that you?
Really like to hear from you. Your friend in Baja. Ray g.
