During our deployment the Soviet Union invaded Czechoslovakia. Hello Jack, you recently posted a photo with a group of guys you were stationed with. One of those is Jim Burgos. Jim was one of the early members of the Oldtimers group, and we were never lucky enough to get a photo of him. Jim passed several years ago but we still have fond memories of him. I notice you haven't joined us here at Oldtimers. Please feel free to come on over. If you have stories about Jim or other photos, please share them with us.
Wolfgang,
Go to Amazon and type in my name or Ed's. The book is there, but be careful there is another book with a simillar title. Just look for us by name there to be safe. And, don't forget to email me at jrtbjy@gmail.com. I've got some things I'd like to pass on to you.
Jack; where can I purchase a copy of the book that you and Ed wrote? Wolfgang
Jack; Thanks for the kind words.I was very surprised to see this picture which I remember when it was taken, that's a lot for this old man. Due to a fire years ago I lost all pictures and records of my 13 years in the Army, especially my tree years at Pond. Those were very good years.
Morning Jack. I have been reading your book and I am seeing that things did not change much from the late 60's to the early 80's when I was at the Pond. Would love to have you check out our facebook page called Pond Barracks. We have a lot of fun and a lot of memories. We may have some members there that you may be able to reconnect with.
Hey Jack I just finished your book and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it.Even tho I was in Bamberg in 78 it some experiences never change no matter what year it is.You brought back a lot of memoriesfor me I forgot I had.
