      Michael,

Sorry to have taken so long to answer your friend request; It has been a very, very long time since I "explored" my page; and I still cannot say that I got the hang of it, but I will keep trying.

My best to you and your family. I am  retired now, amd am still making the adjustment to a lower income pensioner status. What seemed like alot of money on paper gets administered away before I even see it; but is the same for everyone.

I am currently undergoing some medical issues, but am receiving good care a the local VA Hospital.

      Tojours Pret, Brother

Mike,I found Nelson Banks who was the Doctor at Pond Barracks when we were there.I hadn't seen him in a few years.him and his wife moved and changed their phone number. They live in a retirement community around 20 minutes from our home.he is in a wheel chair now,68 years old.Had lunch with him at the center where they live.we wrer talking about some officers that he didn't like, his mind is pretty good. Take care. TOM

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Amberg was a great town. I got an apartment and lived on the economy for about the last year I was there. It was great to live down town, get to know the locals and their culture. I met and made friends with a lot of great people during my time there, in the Army and in the town.

Tell us a little about you now.

Still pounding a few nails and trying to enjoy life. Was lucky enough to take the family to Amberg in December of 1990. Couldn't get on post though because almost everyone was on the way to Iraq for Desert Storm (thanksby the way!) but really enjoyed Amberg, Nuremburg, and Germany in general.

    Phone number (Optional).

    1-815-353-4898

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

    Any and all of them.
