LMAO!!!!! How could I ever forget! Never chew gum and fall asleep when you have a stash. Yeah, i am from Texas....I moved to Arkansas then back to Texas and back to Arkansas after I retired. Yep, those were some crazy years. Hirth came to see me one time about 15 years ago but we didnt stay in contact with each other. I guess our lives took different paths back then. I found Elwess and Bookenugen(Booger) a few days ago. Still trying to remember some others. The fog is clearing some. lol Good to hear from you bud!
How ya been Woody?
Hey Wuth, I remember you from the time when I got there with Whitfield and Davis. I remember you because you were one of the decent professional soldiers that the "cruits"(remember?) could look up to although I didn’t work directly with you. I also went on that trip to Berchtesgaden with Scott, Davila, Gonce… you name them. Never did border time though but plenty Camp Cheb at Graf, Hoehnfels, and Wildflicken. In any case it was a pleasant surprise to find you alive and well, I thank God for that and I’ll pray that he continues to watch over you and your family.
P.S.
Im sure that you remember SSG Orfield 13B, I ran into him in Savannah GA a few years ago and although I lost contact at the time he was looking well and owned a Hunting and Tackle shop near Ft Stewart.
"BOC, OUT"!
Hey, I was just reading the comments on LTC Bird's page and saw your comment. LTC Bird relieved LTC Norton in Oct or Nov 83. I was with I trp at Camp Reed at the time and at formation that morning, one of the Lt's announced "The shit just hit the fan".... And he was right. All for the better tho, I still remember Col Bird at a squadron formation one morning tossing a metal sign on the ground. It was the last "No American Soldier's Allowed" sign from the last bar to forbid American's to enter.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICHARD
Wishing you many more, from all of us at DragoonBase!!!
