Bill Pate was a truly great guy! He roomed right beside mine behind the CA desk. Man loved his tequila.

Did you Horace (last name unknown) or McCarty? They were there before me. Pretty sure they were 13Bs. I can't remember the 1SG's name in 79, but my first impression was him passed out under his desk. I knew I was in for a great tour of duty.

I heard about the time he was taped to a cot. He woke up wet and it wasn't from rain. We caught him one time writing James Bond type letters home about his exploits on the border. That was one person that realy earned his nickname - Rat.

Yes, Life is good for me. Working hard, great job, etc. Thanks for the good wishes and return same to you. My high school class has a web page on this network also and it has been a very good venue to meet and renew old friendships there as well as to get to know others we maybe were acquainted to but never got to know that well. I see that same opportunity here. Good to see you again.

      Toujours Pret Curtiss,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the site has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site(ie,photos, ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out another member may be able to help.
And his only wish that ‘We keep it clean’, use our real names/with pictures, and you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

      Thanks Again for joining,
      Jesse Kelley
