      Robert,

I haven't been on the site long and I need to post a picture. The memories are coming back. Good guys in Mco.

Spent the same years '65 '68 with you. Was in 2nd Platoon first on M-24 and later on the 1st Sgt had me go to supply and I became the unit (M-TRP) Supply Sgt. Married and driving a gold '65 Mercury Cyclone. Some guy came shortly after me with a red '65 GTO. Remember any of this?

Goodgrief! I haven't thought about Cp May since about 30 years ago! Ha! The gateguard asked me if I was going to help chase him. I said no, sooner or later he'd find his way back! FYI, a few years later, I ran into Lampert at Ft Riley, KS. He had changed his mos to a dental hygientist. Yeah, I remember the wedding. The Cpt's wife was all upset that she'd get her dress dirty or torn. I've got a great pic of Cpt Hill and a bunch of us loosing the tug o' war during Squadron Stakes Day. Remember when we lived at Hohenfels and Ogle got drunk and chased, sprayed a bunch of Germans with a fire extinguisher? Those were good times. More later, it's o-beer-thirty by my watch! Mike (Grunt)

Your name sure is familar. I'm trying to put a face with it. I started on SSG Courtney's hog, then I was also on M-66 with Cpt Hill, Sgt Jack Caton, and Phil Lambert. Bob Harrell was a good friend. I've got to get ready for work, but I'll be back in 5 days. Merry Christmas!

      Toujours Pret Robert,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos, links, ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures(pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do).
And that you please tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

Thanks Again for joining Dragoon Base, and for your service to our great country,
      Jesse Kelley

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Commander - Cpt. William Hill - I was his tank commander, jeep driver, NCO Training. We spent our time between Amberg, the Border and Graf. We worked hard and partied hard, being that close to the border and with the threat at all times of a conflict breaking out as you all remember in those days we resorted to partying with the locals.

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

Walter Jackson and anyone else who served then!!!!!!!!!!!!!
