dave- i can't say i recall a sheridan going up- if it was around that time all i had on my mind was SHORT! i would have been down to about 60 days to the world and i was ready! what was the story with the blow-up?

Hey Joe,
Were you still there when C Troop blew up the Sheridan? I think it happened 7/74, but wouldn't swear to it.

Welcome to the DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of updated features, lots of sub-groups,(ie, Officers Club, F-Trp., Amberg, Medics, etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
Make sure you stop by and read the latest Tacoma Dave ‘Triva Quiz’, learn some 2nd Cav history, and you can even win a kool prize.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or any of the 5 admins listed at the top of the page, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures (pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do).

Tell us a little about your cav days.

i was night dispensary ambulance driver. also in charge of the medic tracks. spent time in weiden- was at the graf theater race riot in 72. Power Check! Right On! Man what a wild time. Sitting in the tank retriever at night during graf stoned to the eyeballs; then watching the night quals from the top of my 113. I recall a 114 flipped during convoy, caught fire, 2 of my buddies burned bad. Hanging out the open door of a Huey on the way to a drop for a hike back to the rock- somehow the ncoic managed to find 2 gasthauses on the way back. Taking the tracks out toward the glider port and watching them fly around for hours. runs to nurnberg in the middle of snowy nights with pregnant women, od'ed whackos, and bleeding car wreck victims when the huey's couldn't fly. WOO HAW!
