Hello Andreas, hope all is going well, did you ever get your hat we were looking for? Things has sure changed since I was there last in 1964. You have a couple of photos from me, pass one with my squad (Patrol) at the Generals inspection. Did you ever make a print out in english? I sure would love to have one, you send me a copy in German but I was un able to get it translated. If you should get a copy in English. I sure would appreciate a copy to go in my files.

Looks like the out post has totally fell apart over the year. I think I have a couple from earlier times they were given to me. you are welcome to copy what I have, or I can forward to your e-mail address. I worked all that back in 59-61 and 62-64.

that were stationed or patroled that Czech tri-zonal sector,

I live in Waidhaus, Bavaria, directly on the border to Czech Republic. I work in a historic association named "Heimatkundlicher Arbeitskreis Waidhaus". More Information abou this association you can see under: http://www.heimat-waidhaus.de. We have a exhibition this year about the Border from Waidhaus, from the year 1945 till today. To control the border there was the 2nd ACR, 1-1 CAV responsible. In the near of Waidhaus there was any Observation Points and Bunker. On the Dragoon Base-Site i find some Pictures, where i think they was made in Waidhaus. Can you help me, to find someone, who has made Observations and Border Patrols in Waidhaus? Maybe they have some Photos, who was interested for us.
