  ROLL TIDE!! Lt. Long time since the Rock, the Border and Graf. Never did get all that mud and dust out of my hair ... just lost the hair. You might be able to fill in a story.
  
  We were on an FTX, I think we were down to my Sheridan, maybe more and a couple of 113s when you called in artillery on a platoon of M60s crossing what they thought was open field ... it was really a marsh and we watched from on high as the lead 60 sank up to its turret, almost burned up one M88, called in another 88 and a wrecker and all three finally got it out.

  Mike, you are probably right. I remember being in charge of the infantry and scout squad training, but most of what I recall was there just of the kaserne. Glad to hear someone has a memory :)

  Hello again , Robert. Since getting on this site I was digging through my old pics from the Rock and if memory serves, didn't you and I run the scout squad qualification course together at Graf in '73? By that time they had changed the format. Instead of single tanks qualifing, two tanks ran together as a scout squad. I still have a certificate saying I qualified there in 1973.   Lt. Godwin, hello I remember you. I was in Lt. Atkins platoon. As a matter of fact, I was his driver when he took over 1st platoon. M114's Yikes!!!!!

  Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
  Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
  If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
  And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures(pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do.), and that you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.
