Ed, Hope all has been well these past 30 years!  It's been a long time and some great times in Amberg!

Hello Ed, just started come on here a little more lately....seems like there is much more activity in recent weeks. I'm living in Puyallup Washington now and we have the Annual State fair going on for a couple more weeks...so it's crazy around here. Working as a Criminal/Civil Investigator for a Law Office in a nearby town....never a shortage of "Bad Guys". Looking at taking a trip to either Italy, or perhaps Germany after the beginning of the year. Should we pick Germany, I'll be heading to Amberg for sure to see how it is surviving without me. Hope all is well with you and the family, what are you up to these days?

I was with the Redeye section. Stan and Tony were on my team.lonnie was also a friend of mine. I taught him how to play Bass guitar. This all happened after I was sent back to the states on e-leave.

bob your time line after 30 years is exceptably not accurate. that day off i was referring to: was i went to wake loni not remembering he had the day off and found him dead. you i'm sure unforgtably are accurate about the rest, the whole transfer to nurnburg thing!

Ed in my 30 year plus memory I remember being on guard duty with him which was probably that day off you mentioned. I also remember closing him up in a body bag and the ride to Nuremberg in the back of that 2/1/2 ton and saying goodbye a way I never wanted too. Lonni was a pretty cool guy. May God rest his soul.

Never before have you ever heard the whole truth and nothing but the truth...so hear it goes, We had an appartment off post, with some friends, Imgard, and Shit forget the other girls name, We were partying., and Lonni unbenonst to us had taken mandrex, or Dawgs, whatever! He got pretty stupid, (impared), and us guys Helped him to the bathroom so he didn't soil himeself... and he said to me you know ski that song your my best friend., And then he turned to paul (crispy)
(his last name shall remain enonamous) and said some other lerics which is now become some what fuzzy to me and then we helped him to the couch. I woke first in the am and looked in on lonni (rigga alreday began to set in he was as cold as ice).(said damn dude didn't you wash last night). (forgettting lonni had the day off) From a sleepy state I realized he wasn't breathing, and i emmediatly woke paul and he places a mirror in front of lonnis face, well we all no the results of that...at which time we be packed and removed and and all incriminating pariphanalia and placed it at the foot of the tunnel to the barrecks, you just above the fontaine across from post. The black top path up thill towards post.

I'm in Washington State, just about 40 miles Southeast of Seattle, in a town named Puyallup. How has life been treading you Ed and where are you "Stationed" these days? I too hope this message finds all is well with you and the family. I was surfing the net and just happened to come upon this site...it's been fun hooking up with some of the "Troopers".......... Hello Ed, I worked up in HHQ....around that same time and your name is familiar. Do you remember CARLUCCI......I came there from K-Troop, because I wasn't able to get to all of the Border Tours, as I was often TDY'ed to Boxing, or Wrestling Teams. I had a great time in Germany/Pond Barracks.
