JASON, I had went on the group, Honorary Dragoons to see who were members, don't know if I ever was enrolled as such, had received a Border Certificate from my Squadron Commander. Sorry if I intruded. Just interested.
Thought you might find this of interest, and it gives you a chance to take out your 2d Dragoon glass and toast a couple possible ancestors (they were brothers).

There are also numerous 2d Dragoon enlistments who were enlisted by Lieut. Hastings, who must have been a 2d Dragoon officer but is not listed on my rosters.

thanks for the invite for the Colorado 2ACR group. I'd like that; sound like a great idea. Cant wait to hear more.
Thanks,
David
thanks so much for the response; yes I did have the pleasure of serving with 1SG Virrill. He was a good soldier and 1SG. Yes I did serve with him in the Gulf and was a part of the 73'rd easting. Havent talked about that stuff in years. Seeing this site brings back memories.
Thanks David
You're literally 6-8 blocks away, I'm on the other side of Lexington from you south near the shopping center. No reason to wait until May for a beer, shoot me an email at dccaughey@aol.com and we'll get something set up.
I'm kind of in between as far as status goes. I was retired for almost a year and a half, then took a two year retiree recall to active duty to teach ROTC in Golden. So other than a long commute, I'll be around for a while. The house and the schools for the young'un are in Briargate, so I won't be moving anywhere anytime soon.
Incidentally, I think you said you know Rick Cormier? he came out on the CSM list last week.
Blog-wise, I write about those grey felas from time to time, but they plenty of press of their own vice the regulars.
