Good, demanding and challenging duty. Great troops and leaders, an exceptional place to learn and grow as a young officer.
Tell us a little about you now.
I retired from Active Duty with 22 years service in 2006 and live near Chicago, Illinois. When I retired I became the Executive Director of the Pritzker Military Library, a private, non-profit military library with a mission is to acquire and maintain an accessible collection of materials and develop appropriate programs focusing on the Citizen Soldier in the preservation of democracy. We are free and open to the public and have a great website.

Good to know there's another Cav Trooper here in Crystal Lake. I live near West Beach. Been here for more than a dozen years, though this is my .2nd house in town.
Couldn't find a picture of him on the internet, so I had to contact a friend who is on the board of the Armor Association. He sent me this photo I already had of Gen. Harmeyer at the 2007 reunion.

Toujours Pret Ryan,Welcome Sir, to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
