188th Anniversary of the Founding of the 2d Cavalry Regiment Virtual Celebration

The 2d Cavalry Association will be hosting a virtual celebration of the 188th Anniversary of the of the founding of the 2d Cavalry Regiment. Dragoons are encouraged to assemble for this event. Visek Germany, Gettysburg National Battlefield, and the Twiggs Family Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia, burial location of the 1^st Colonel of the Regiment, have already been identified as assembly areas. We hope other locations will materialize as dragoons let us know where they will be for this celebration.

Please plan to join us on Microsoft Teams Thursday May 23, 2024, at 11:00AM Eastern to acknowledge this great day in the history of the Regiment.

Old Ft. Peirce park Florida, one time home of 400 Dragoons on the Indian River lagoon will be a site I will host if, anyone is interested. Lots of sun, fun and making memories. PS, make sure you bring your SPF.

I'd like to organize a gathering at Mödlareuth (Little Berlin), where the 2d Squadron patrolled during the Cold War. Anybody here in Germany who can make it is welcome to join me there.
