Tell us a little about you now.
Retired and enjoy the comforts of a Motorhome to travel in. Wife is still working so I mostly travel alone. Couldn't afford the life style without the wife working. ;-)

Steve, I do remember you and your wife. Do you remember having my wife, Hedi and I for breakfast one Sunday morning. I think it was the first time I'd had eggs benedict.
MWere you still there while Tommy Franks and Pete Schoomaker were there? My memory ain't what it used to be.
Sorry to have taken so long to get back to my page and answered you. I'm having vision problems so don't frequent the internet as often as I like. My daughter alerted me to your post.
Hope you and yours are doing fine.

Lional,
This is Steve Oliver. I was the Adjutant, I believe when you joined the squadron. I was at the "rock" from June, 1969 to June, 1972 serving as HHT XO, air defense officer, AYA director, support platoon leader, HHT maintenance officer, court martial defense council; moved to A troop with Cpt Ralph Barber for a couple months and then on the Adjutant for Col. Rostine for about 18 months and then closed out in S3 training with John Roseburg.
Sue & I had great times in Bayreuth and the 1/2 ACR.
I would like to be able to contact as many guys that served there during my time. Who have you been in communication with?
Take care...be well.
Steve Oliver
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIONAL
Wishing you many more, from all of us at DragoonBase!!!
Lional:
I remember you also. Remember when Wagoner was on the hot seat for hiding all that excess stuff under ground in the old bunkers. Get a christmas card fronm Dennis Nading.
Gary
Thanks for the update. Yes, I remember all those guys well, along with LeRoy Robinson as most of those guys were in place when I got there. I stay in touch with foks who came along a bit later all these years later. The RIFs got a lot of folks on the Rock in the early/mid 70's. I remember that Dennis and Dave always had the finest wheels on the Rock!
Betty asked me to find out how your family is doing. If email is better I'm on bbarry8417@gmail.com

Welcome. I was the B Troop commander during much of your tour. Good memories of the Rock. There are quite a few of us from those days on Dragoon Base.
